BOC ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN 2013 NATA ANNUAL MEETING
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July 16, 2013 - Omaha, NE - The Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) exhibited at the NATA’s 64th
Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, NV. The BOC staff and board members always look forward to NATA’s Annual Meeting for visiting with athletic training students, Athletic Trainers (ATs), volunteers, committee members and the many exhibitors.
On June 26th
, the BOC Board of Directors and staff hosted a reception to honor BOC volunteers and to present the Dan Libera Service Awards. The BOC Dan Libera Service Award was established in 1995 to recognize individuals who have shown dedication to the mission of the BOC. Long-standing contributions to the BOC’s programs are the primary criteria for the award. Congratulations to this year’s award recipients!

The BOC also wants to congratulate the following BOC volunteers for their accomplishments:
- Sara Brown for being a recipient of the BOC’s Paul Grace Leadership Award
- Cynthia Clivio and David Stuckey, who are included among the 2013 recipients of the NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award
- David Berry and James Malseed, who were recipients of the NATA Athletic Trainer Service Award
- Congrats to BOC volunteer Jill Manners for receiving the Gail Weldon Award of Excellence
The BOC also congratulates Scott L. Bruce, who was awarded the Lindsy McLean Scholarship sponsored by the BOC. This scholarship honors Lindsy, who was the first Chair of the Certification Committee.

Jason is in his fourth year as an Athletic Trainer for football and men’s basketball and also teaches undergraduate students at Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas. He is eager to use the iPad 2 with his injury tracking software to record treatments.
