Emergency Cardiac Care |

Although CEUs are no longer awarded for emergency cardiac care (ECC) certification, Athletic Trainers need to be current with the ECC requirements throughout the reporting period. ECC certification must include the following:
- Adult & Pediatric CPR
- AED
- 2nd Rescuer CPR
- Airway Obstruction
- Barrier Devices (e.g., pocket mask, bag valve mask)
Acceptable ECC providers are those adhering to the most current International Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiac Care. Please check with your ECC provider to Be Certain.™ any course you take includes all of the above components.
